Comprehensive Nutritional Analysis
A comprehensive nutritional analysis will help you achieve a well and healthy being!
Many preventable problems show up in blood, hair, stool and other biological tests long before you are actually ill. Certain tests, when read properly, will indicate if you are progressing towards a serious illness, such as cancer, liver, heart or many other diseases. Conversely, these tests can also confirm if you are eating and supplementing appropriately.
Common Testing Profiles
- Comprehensive Blood Chemistry
- Cardiovascular Risk Profile
- Fatty Acid Test
- Heavy Metal Test
- Comprehensive Stool Analysis
- Allergy (Cytokine Mediator-LEAP) Testing (see below for more information)
A Leaky Gut or intestinal permeability can be the hidden underlying cause or major contributing factor in many health complaints and diseases such as:
- Autoimmune disease
- Chronic pain
- and many others
For years doctors like myself who are trained in functional medicine have tested for and treated Leaky Gut.
There are multiple types of leaky gut and we can test for them using specific labs and provide repair support using specific non-drug protocols. Be sure to look at the Gut-Brain Connection video (below) for a better understanding of leaky gut.
Identifying leaky gut through specialized testing and correcting it using non-drug functional medicine protocols is the future of chronic disease care.

Wouldn’t it be better to stop problems before they become serious?
Starting with a comprehensive health history followed by specific laboratory testing, we do an in-depth analysis of your total system. We see the problem areas and carefully note major and minor conditions that may lead to serious illness.
Sometimes an individual case may call for specialized testing, such as tissue mineral analysis, urinalysis, food allergy or other testing in order to determine exactly where there may be problem areas.
We will provide a detailed report explaining what the tests mean, all the nutrients, vitamins, dietary requirements, as well as any other changes that may be necessary to optimize the blood values and make you healthier.
How do we know our recommendations will work for you?
We retest to determine your progress. When you follow our plan exactly as recommended, significant change is almost always the end result.
You will then know specifically what your needs are in order to feel healthy and function at your peak.
The ALCAT Test differs from other food allergy or intolerance tests as it accurately and objectively measures leukocyte cellular reactivity in whole blood, which is a final common pathway of all mechanisms. The test utilizes electronic, state of the art, hematological instrumentation. Standard allergy tests, such as skin testing or RAST are not accurate for delayed type reactions to foods and chemicals. They measure only a single mechanism, such as the effect of mast cell release of histamine or the presence of allergen specific IgE molecules. Delayed reactions to foods and chemicals are NOT IgE mediated.
Symptoms of food sensitivity can include headache, indigestion or heartburn, fatigue, depression, joint pain or arthritis, canker sores, chronic respiratory symptoms such as wheezing, sinus congestion or bronchitis and chronic bowel problems such as diarrhea, constipation and even obesity.
The ALCAT Test also differs from standard IgG tests in that they rely exclusively on one immune pathway, serum levels of immunoglobulin G (IgG). In fact, high food specific IgG titers are indicative only of exposure, not necessarily intolerance.
The ALCAT Test reproducibly measures the final common pathway of all pathogenic mechanism; whether immune, non-immune, or toxic. It is the only test shown to correlate with clinical symptoms by double blind oral challenges, the gold standard.
Our mission in terms of nutrition is to set a standard of objectivity in nutritional healthcare. We strive to help people reach their optimum health so that they in turn, can reach their fullest potential in life.
This is done first through gaining a foundational understanding of an individual’s health by objective blood testing.
What is Comprehensive Nutritional Blood Analysis?
It is a verifiable way of documenting how healthy you really are. Not just how you “feel”. Get the Facts…Don’t guess about your health…
We offer a science based approach to nutritional healthcare. Have you ever been told that you are “fine” but still feel bad? Or maybe you really do feel that you are in perfect health. Many problems show up in the blood long before you actually “feel” symptoms. Did you know you can have 20% liver or kidney function left and still have virtually no symptoms? You can also have up to 30% bone loss before that loss is visible on X-ray. How do you know if you’re truly healthy? Certain tests, when read properly, will indicate whether or not you are progressing toward a serious illness, such as cancer, liver, heart or many other diseases.
A complete Nutritional Blood Analysis will determine:
- How healthy you really are
- What problems are just beginning
- What diseases you have
- What and how many vitamins and nutrients you need
- If the vitamins you are taking are working
Early Detection and Correction are the Keys to a Healthy Life
Many problems are identified in the blood long before you actually experience symptoms. Certain tests that are read and evaluated properly, will indicate that you are progressing towards a serious illness, such as cancer, diabetes, liver, heart, or many other diseases. Beginning with a diagnostic blood test, we perform an in-depth analysis of your total system. We identify the problem areas and carefully document major and minor conditions that may lead to serious illness.
Sometimes, an individual case may call for specialized testing, such as tissue mineral analysis, food allergy, or other testing in order to identify other problem areas.
When all of the test results are in, we will provide a personalized, detailed report. These reports contain a hard copy of all of your test results, an explanation of what these tests mean, and a complete list of the nutrients, vitamins, dietary requirements and other lifestyle changes necessary to start your journey back to health.
Monitor the diseases you have and what you are progressing toward.
Wouldn’t it be better to stop these problems before they progressed into something serious? Or wouldn’t it be great if you could get back to the state of health you were in before you became ill? Starting with a consultation, the doctor will determine the testing that should be done. Using bloodwork and other diagnostic tools, we do an in-depth analysis of your system. The testing will tell us where the problem areas are occurring or just developing. During your report of findings we will carefully note major and minor conditions that may lead to serious illness. This detailed report will explain your test findings, as well as the nutrient and dietary recommendations based upon your test results.
A testable way to know what supplements you need and if those brands are working for you.
How do we know our recommendations will work for you? What makes us different from other nutritionists? We TEST and then retest to determine your progress. There is no guess work…it is all in the testing.
So what tests are required?
Every person is different. So it really depends on your particular case.
What testing can I do through your office?
Any blood test, toxic elements assessments [blood, hair, and urine], urinalysis, EKG, Allergy testing, pulse oximetry, Dexa Scan bone density.
How long does it take to get the test results back?
If you do the testing through our office, it usually takes no more than one to two weeks to get all of the test results back and your personalized detailed report completed!
Can I get my blood work done through my other doctor?
Of course! You may get your blood work done through another doctor and forward a copy to us so we can put together your report.
Do You Take Patients Who Are Out Of State?
Yes, We can set up phone consultations and we have the ability to order the testing you need from anywhere in the United States. We do however, strongly recommended that you have a face to face consultation with the doctor at least once.
What makes you different from other “nutritionists” or “health professionals”?
We use scientific objective testing in our analysis and recommendations and we see objective results. Some of the diagnostic testing we use are blood testing, toxic and elemental hair testing, food allergy testing (ALCAT, Cytokine, and Elisa), DMSA urinary challenge, DEXA bone density scan, X-ray, MRI, and EKG. There are a lot of very questionable ‘energy’ techniques to determine diseases and conditions. Studies have shown they are no better than just guessing. We get our great results because we test and we use objective testing methods.
How long will it take before I start to see improvement in my health problems?
Understand that we don’t have a cure for your problem whether it is a rash, sinusitis, diabetes, migraines, IBS, colitis, or cancer. Our goal is to get you healthier. Progress is the key and there should be some definite, objective improvement within about 1 to 2 months if what we are doing and recommend is going to work. Do you have 2 months? If you can give us 2 months and you really work and do what is needed, it is highly unusual that progress/improvement is not seen. Then the goal is to keep you improving on a consistent basis. Sometimes in extreme cases a 5-10% improvement in 2 months could the best that we can hope for but if you continue to improve 5-10% every 2 months for a year or so where will you be? Some patients take longer than others. We make no guarantees that you will have similar results to someone else who had a successful or remarkable recovery. Success is largely dependent upon compliance.
